Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Teacher
The teacher is responsible for providing responsive comprehensive care to infants and toddlers in a center-based setting. Will work as a team member with a second teacher. The teacher will work with each family to develop and monitor the child’s progress. Will act as a family educator in all service areas of Early Head Start. Will play an active role in transition into the Early Head Start classroom and from Early Head Start to Head Start.
A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is required and experience working with children ages 0-3 is preferred. If the person hired does not have a CDA, the candidate must be willing to enroll and earn their CDA within one year. EOA offers tuition assistance for CDA enrollment. Pay is based on education- an Associates’ degree in Early Childhood Education or related would pay is $14.42 per hour, a CDA credential $12.65 per hour, a high school diploma, or GED $11.39 per hour.
This position is full-time, part-year. Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
