Applications for Child Care Centers

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY

1. Download and complete all pages of the application packet.

2. Attach a copy of recent income documentation:

a) Recent (within last 30 days) paycheck stub OR

b) Recent (within last 30 days) statement (within last 30 days) from the director/owner stating the applicant’s hourly wage and the number of hours worked per week.  Statement must be on center letterhead and dated/signed by the director or owner.

3. Make sure all forms are signed and dated where indicated.

4. Mail application forms and income documentation to the state TEACH office:

5. You will be notified if further information is needed.

6. Once approved for the scholarship, you will be sent an email from your assigned TEACH counselor to schedule a welcome call.  You will then receive further instructions.

    Arkansas Early Childhood Association (AECA) in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Education Office of Early Childhood (OEC) is offering this short-term incentive program with time-limited Preschool Development Grant (PDG) funds.

    The three incentive catergories are:
    1) Retention Incentive: $300-$1,000
    -Current employees in licensed programs +
    FCC educators operating licensed homes
    -Incentive based on length of employment / operation
    -Current TEACH scholars and those receiving
    TEACH Retention Incentives are not eligible.
    2) Continuing Education Incentive: $300-$525
    -For education milestones completed 7/1/25-6/30/26
    -All related to CDA and ECE degree completion
    -TEACH graduates are not eligible.
    3) Longevity Recognition Incentive: $300-$500
    -For active Arkansas PDR members with recent training
    -Based on years of membership in AR ECE PD system
