Next week Arkansas Kids Count Coalition is hosting its virtual advocacy days, Kids Count Week “at” the Capitol. If you want to connect with lawmakers on behalf of kids this year, Kids Count Week will give you the knowledge and tools you need.

You will have an opportunity to virtually: attend legislative committee meetings, network with other advocates, learn about pending legislation, hear from leaders around the state, and, most importantly, find out how you can take action to help our state’s kids, including during the event.

You can see the full agenda and register for meetings here.

I would like to personally invite you to The Early Childhood Sector meeting on Thursday, January 28th 1:00-2:00pm. Our AECA Public Policy Chair, Geania Dickey, and Vice President of Communications, Emma Tempest, will be co-facilitating the meeting. They will provide a quick overview of the role state and federal government entities have in making decisions for the early childhood sector in our state. Then share 5 things you can do in 5 minutes to help advance policies that support the early childhood field in Arkansas.

We encourage you to attend and share this invitation with your colleagues.

Your voice matters and we are stronger together. We will keep sharing information as we get it and continue to support you in supporting children and families across Arkansas.

Thank you for all that you do! We hope to see you there!

Gregg Cooper, AECA President
