AECA knows that ECE Educators have LOTS of stories and we believe they are worth sharing! πŸ“–

During this global crisis, early childhood educators have continued to work in unprecedented circumstances. You found ways to connect with young children and their families in new and innovative ways and ensured they had the most nurturing and safe learning environments possible.

Your work has endured and has an enormous impact on our field. For that, we want to acknowledge how you have inspired us all, and invite you to share your story of resilience or recognize a peer on their behalf. Every day individual educators give their all to make a monumental difference in the lives of the young children, families, and the communities they serve.

πŸ‘ Donald Davis, American storyteller, states β€œEvery time you tell your story it changes you and the people who hear it.”

πŸ”Š Sharing your story can be used to inform policy and generate the attention early childhood education and educators deserve and send the message that ECE needs more support.

πŸ’“ Your heart, your passion, and your story will give us all a glimpse into the amazing early educators here in Arkansas!

AECA has teamed up with A State Childhood Services and storytelling group, The Yarn, to collect stories from our early childhood workforce to help inform our communities and legislatures of the importance of your work!

At the present time, we have two options for sharing your story:

OPTION ONE
We are collecting stories via our Educators Inspire form to share via social media during Arkansas Children’s Week. Please share your resiliency story or nominate a colleague to share theirs! Let’s recognize the stories that inspire one another and our field every day.

OPTION TWO
If you want to go a step further and have the opportunity to be in our next storytelling cohort, register your interest here.

Visit our Storytelling page for all the details!

Thank you for all you do for children and families in Arkansas. We appreciate you!
