AECA invites you to join us in celebrating one of our T.E.A.C.H. graduates – Tabitha Tosh!
Tabitha received an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education using the T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship. She is now continuing her education with T.E.A.C.H., intending to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education next year, with plans to get a teaching license in the future!
Tabitha says, ‘My educational journey has done wonders for me in the classroom! Before beginning my educational journey, I knew the basics of caring for children, the do’s and don’ts, and that I really loved working with children. During this journey, I have learned many new attributes about myself and about education. I have discovered new goals for myself, I have been able to challenge myself, and I have grown so much. I have had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and do things I would normally shy away from.
Not only have I learned the foundations of being an early childhood educator and the best practices for children, I have also learned that teaching is truly a reward. I am able to more effectively connect with children in my classroom and implement developmentally appropriate practices. My confidence in the classroom has grown immensely and I know that what I am doing is really making a difference. The opportunities for growth; personally and professionally, have been such a rewarding experience and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a recipient of the T.EA.C.H. scholarship.’
The T.E.A.C.H. program helped make this possible. Want to know more about T.E.A.C.H.? Visit our dedicated T.E.A.C.H. page today.
