Provider Appreciation Day is a time to honor the heart and soul of early childhood education—you, the dedicated providers who show up every day for young children and their families.
My journey in this field has come full circle. I started as a classroom provider, spending years immersed in the daily joys and challenges of early childhood education. I’ve wiped tears, celebrated milestones, managed tough behaviors, and juggled endless responsibilities—just like so many of you do each day. Later, I transitioned into the role of an ECERS/ITERS assessor, working closely with providers to support quality improvements in their programs. Now, I serve as an educator, offering nutrition education to children and providing training and professional development for childcare providers.
Because I’ve walked in your shoes, I deeply understand the struggles you face—from burnout and behavioral challenges to ever-changing regulations and the pressure to meet each child’s unique needs. But I also know the heart, passion, and resilience it takes to keep showing up with a smile, day after day.
That’s why I’m so proud to be part of this field. Supporting those who support our youngest learners is a responsibility I hold close to my heart. On this Provider Appreciation Day, I celebrate you—your hard work, your love, and your unwavering commitment to early childhood education.
You matter. You’re making a difference. And you are appreciated—today and every day.
Early educators are the heart and soul of every community, and I’m grateful to stand among them.
