πŸ˜” We know that many of us have had the unfortunate opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors that just don’t understand what we do in early childhood education.

πŸ“’ AECA is committed to educating our fellow Arkansans on the importance of ECE to children, families, and our communities. We believe there are no better spokespersons than our members.

πŸ’™ We are continuing our advocacy efforts by sharing stories of inspiring educators all across the state. Today’s story is about Rebecca Griffin. Here is the story that was submitted on our website to share with you all:

Rebecca Griffin is the Director of Discovery Children’s Center in Monticello, Arkansas. She has been with the center for 14 years. Rebecca is a person who goes above and beyond and shows genuine warmth and empathy towards all the children and staff. She makes sure the teachers are making learning fun, as stimulating, engaging lessons are pivotal to the children. She has held our center down through the pandemic even though it got rough sometimes she always kept a smile on her face she never let it get her down. She always made sure every child and staff was taken care of, she didn’t want them to go without. Rebecca has a big heart and she doesn’t know how much she has impacted our lives by being the person she is and she is always encouraging us to do our best. We love you Becky keep the great work!!

“When you give joy to other people, you get more on return. You should give a good thought to happiness that you can give out ” – Eleanor Roosevelt
