We wish we had better news on a Monday morning, but it is with deep disappointment that we must announce we are cancelling the AECA 2021 Conference. Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state and the increasing concern that this event could contribute to more of those cases, the AECA Board has decided it is in everyone’s best interest not to have an in-person gathering this year. Our primary focus is to keep our association and communities as safe and healthy as possible so we can gather again when we are past the pandemic.

For those who have already paid registration fees, your registration will be automatically refunded to you in whichever form of payment you used to register. You may cancel your hotel reservations online using your confirmation number or call the Wyndham Riverfront at 501-371-9000. Make sure you receive a cancellation number for your records.

For those of you who have registered or plan to register for the A-State Childhood Services Trainer Institute as part of the conference, the institute will move forward as planned so please register by October 3 to save your spot. At this time, we do not plan to offer any additional virtual sessions. However, we hope to host some one-day professional development events later this fall or winter if it is safe to do so.

Please reach out to us at this email conference@arkansasearlychildhood.org or call 501-680-1930 if you have questions. Thank you for your support of AECA.
