πŸ˜” We know that many of us have had the unfortunate opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors that just don’t understand what we do in early childhood education.

πŸ“’ AECA is committed to educating our fellow Arkansans on the importance of ECE to children, families, and our communities. We believe there are no better spokespersons than our members.

πŸ’™ We are continuing our advocacy efforts by sharing stories of inspiring educators all across the state. Today’s story is about the Owner of Burks Learning Academy in Brinkley, Vernetta Burks. Here is the story that was submitted on our website to share with you all:

Vernetta Burks is a champion for families and children. She has worked so hard to not only keep her family home open during the pandemic, she has also mentored the family home providers in her community. She is always willing to help a family or provider to become the best caregiver for children they can be. She is well known in her own community and the community of early childhood as finding a positive solution to any situation that comes up.

⭐️ Show your appreciation for Vernetta in the comments and share this post to amplify this inspiring story about our profession!
