Hey everybody! My name is Natasha Kile and I’m so honored to be your Arkansas Early Childhood Association President. I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. My full-time job is I’m the education chair for the Northwest Arkansas Community College, I’m over the early childhood and the K-12 teacher education preparation departments and full-time faculty there. So that’s what I do day-to-day. I also am a part-time trainer in early childhood education area, and probably know many of you in that realm. As I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet lots of different people doing that work, and it’s a passion of mine, and something that I’ve been doing for about 17 years now.

In my personal life, I have two daughters, Elizabeth, that we call Lizzie – she’s almost 23. And I have another daughter named Crosby, who’s three years old. (I’m) married to my husband Adam, and we have a dog named Brody that makes our house a home. I like to cross stitch when I have time and I also like to read, but I don’t find a lot of time to do those fun things – and with a three-year-old, as you can imagine!

The most exciting thing for me about being the President of the Arkansas Early Childhood Association is just the opportunity to make more of a difference, right? Really an opportunity to have more of an impact on this amazing organization that I’ve been a part of for many, many years – but not in this role. It’s an opportunity to have a leadership role and really see how I can, like I said, make more of a difference.

My goal is to to help all of us understand how important our work really is. I know that the work that we do is emotionally exhausting. It’s very demanding, but it’s a work that we’re called to do. And it’s a work that we have a real passion for in our heart or else we wouldn’t be doing it. I want to make sure that I’m here in any way possible to support you. I want to make sure that I listen to your needs and your wants and that I help Arkansas Early Childhood Association do all that it can to advocate for you and the vital work that you do each and every day.

I wish you all the best and I’ll talk to you soon. Bye bye!
