Hello, friends. As I reflect on our time together at the Arkansas Early Childhood Association Conference, I’m filled with gratitude. The conversations, learning, laughter, and shared commitment to young children created an atmosphere that was both uplifting and meaningful.

For a few days, we were surrounded by people who understand the challenges of our work, who share a deep belief in its importance. The conference may be over, but the impact doesn’t have to end when we all return home. One of the greatest strengths of our early childhood community is the connections we build with one another.

Sustaining our work requires more than new ideas and fresh inspiration. When we stay connected, we create opportunities to learn from one another, to celebrate successes, to solve problems together, and to find encouragement during our difficult moments.

As we move into November, I encourage you to reach out to a colleague that you met at the conference. I’ll be calling you, Georgia and Amber. Please reconnect with a familiar face or engage with fellow professionals through our local affiliates. Sometimes a simple conversation can renew our sense of purpose and remind us that we’re not doing this work alone.

To help continue with these connections, AECA will be continuing our members-only Reading Circle series. Beginning in mid-November, we’ll feature Amanda Morgan’s, Not Just Cute. Together, we’ll explore how early childhood professionals can communicate the value of their work, advocate for young children, and strengthen public understanding of the critical role early learning plays in our communities.

We hope you’ll join us as we continue learning, reflecting, and growing together. The relationships we build help sustain the important work we do tomorrow. Thank you, thank you for all you do for Arkansas’ children, families, and educators.

As always, I’m cheering you on.

p.s. check your inbox for an email about the Reading Circle if you’d like more information about how to join
