Exciting things are happening with your AECA. We are pleased to advise you of a few things that are taking place.

We will be closing the office in Little Rock around July 1, 2021. We have been given permission from the National TEACH office to run that program remotely. This will allow us to save money and still deliver the same services as before. We will operate general AECA business remotely as well without a loss. We will be looking for storage space for the files and materials either in the Little Rock or the Northwest Arkansas area.

We have hired Misty Butler, who has been the accountant for the Association for the past two years, as Office Manager/Accountant effective June 1. She will have AECA and TEACH responsibilities and will be working out of her home office in Alma. We are excited to have Misty with us full time.

Paul Lazenby has accepted the job formerly held by Jeff Dyer. He will manage the TEACH program, continue serving as board liaison, and will do the big picture activities for the Association. Again, we are excited that Paul is a part of AECA. He has a wealth of knowledge and is well-respected within our state and with the national TEACH office.

We are looking forward to this next chapter with Paul and Misty working with AECA members and all childcare providers around the state. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Stay safe out there!

Gregg Cooper
AECA President

p.s. don’t forget to save the date for our next virtual conference session – Ole Pete Key is BACK on Saturday June 12th! Registration opens soon!
