Dear friends of AECA,

As my time as President comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what has truly been one of the greatest honors of my career – serving this incredible association and each of you.

These past two years have been filled with meaningful work, shared passion for early childhood education, and a deep sense of purpose that comes from being part of something larger than ourselves. Together, we’ve advocated for our youngest learners, supported one another through challenges, and celebrated the vital work that happens across Arkansas every single day.

But beyond the work itself, what I will treasure most are the friendships I’ve made along this journey. The connections forged through our shared commitment to children and families have enriched my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Your dedication, wisdom, and heart inspire me constantly.

As I pass the leadership torch to Julie Yarberry, I do so with complete confidence. Julie brings tremendous passion and vision to this role, and I know AECA will continue to flourish under her guidance. I hope you will give her the same support, encouragement, and collaboration that you’ve given me.

Though I’m stepping down as President, I’m not stepping away from this community. I remain deeply committed to our mission and to the relationships we’ve built. I’m excited to share that I will transition into the role of Advocacy Chair, and I look forward to continuing to support and advocate for early childhood professionals, children, and families.

Thank you for allowing me to serve, for teaching me so much, and for the privilege of working alongside such remarkable advocates for children.

With gratitude and warmth,

Natasha Kile
